It’s a wrap for this season of Tech Tacos, and we’re feeling satisfied—not just from tacos but from the incredible learning, laughter, and community we shared each week.
A huge “Taco Very Much!” to all our special guests, faculty collaborators, and students who helped make Tech Tacos a campus favorite once again. From thoughtful tech talks to unforgettable taco conversations, this season brought together minds (and taste buds) from across NIU.

Pollinator Park is a crossover between a zoo, a theme park, an interactive museum, and a crystal ball: fun, educational, and emotionally engaging. 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Vespa Mode - A collaborative project to develop a simulator for riding a vintage Vespa in virtual reality. Vespa Mode is part of the Huskieverse program.
3:00 PM to 5:00 PM: HuskieVerse - VR Exploration
6:00 PM to 8:00 PM: Proxima Centauri Alpha - Working on building and launching a weather balloon.

Participants from across campus teamed up during RhoK NIU Spring 2025 to generate ideas and propose solutions to help the Huskie Food Pantry.
Lex Seda, Jermar Johnson, Nihkil Doddaga, and Federico Bassetti had the opportunity to participate in and experience the De La Vega Pitch Competition.
