As we enter the final stretch of the semester, we invite you to pause, reflect, and celebrate the incredible journey we’ve shared at 71 North this spring.
Before finals take over and the semester comes to a close, we’re excited to continue what’s becoming a favorite tradition:

HuskieVerse Featured Experience Pollinator Park Experience and reflect on the impact of pollinators in the near and far future. Pollinator Park is a crossover between a zoo, a theme park, an interactive museum, and a crystal ball: fun, educational, and emotionally engaging. There are multiple opportunities to explore virtual reality each week. Amidst this dystopian landscape lies a lavish green beacon of hope: Dr. Beatrice Kukac’s Pollinator Park -a futuristic farm, a safe haven for pollinating insects and an eye-opener for its visitors. An experience based on real science. |

8:30 - 11:00 AM Morning Writing Group: Facilitated by Dr. Anna Klis, this interdisciplinary group invites you to start your day with coffee and creativity.
2:00 - 3:00 PM: LEAP from Project to Product Management • A Discussion facilitated on how to use Miro boards as a collaboration tool.
2:15 PM - 3:15 PM: NICCS Day - A time to discuss and workshop topics connected with the Northern Illinois Center for Community Sustainability (NICCS). This week Greg Kuhn, Director of NIU’s Center for Governmental Studies (CGS), and Dawn Peters, Assistant Director of CGS and Executive Director of the Illinois City and County Management Association (ILCMA), will share insights on working with local governments.

5:00 - 6:00 PM: Girls Who Code NIU - Tech & Community.
5:00 - 6:00 PM: Appy Hour Podcast - All things apps.
5:30 - 6:30 PM: CAUSE - Social Entrepreneurship & Community Service.

12:00 - 1:00 PM I-Corps Great Lakes Hub Webinar - All about I-Corps: Unlocking Innovation with the Great Lakes I-Corps Hub
3:00 - 5:00 PM Huskie Hackers
3:00 PM to 5:00 PM: HuskieVerse - VR Exploration
5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Innovation Club - A student-led organization welcoming creative thinkers from all corners of campus.
Friday:
12:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Vespa Mode - A collaborative project to develop a simulator for riding a vintage Vespa in virtual reality. Vespa Mode is part of the Huskieverse program.
3:00 PM to 5:00 PM: HuskieVerse - VR Exploration
6:00 PM to 8:00 PM: Proxima Centauri Alpha - Working on building and launching a weather balloon.
Monday:
5:30 PM - 8:30 PM: Breakthrough Business Community Academy - Opportunity DeKalb Business Community Academy.
