The Midterm Way

A roundup of 71 North updates

The Midterm Way

We’re halfway through this semester!! We know this week may be crazy busy and stressful with exams or projects for midterms, but we believe in you and your abilities! If you are looking for help on midterms, remember there are resources available to you, such as HASC and MAC. Spring break is next week, and you’ll be able to rest, hopefully. But if during this week, you want to take some time to escape, feel free to book a VR appointment and have some fun in a reality that doesn’t have midterms.

Hackillinois

Message from Huskie Hackers President Amaila

No Huskie Hackers meeting because of midterms, good luck, and study hard! They will resume on March 16, and we look forward to seeing you then!

This past weekend 3 of our members went to Hackillinois 2026. We took the Caterpillar track where we needed to help the company develop their app using AI. Huskie Hackers made a Decay Prediction Model where inspectors would upload photos of vehicle parts, and it would all be saved into a database so that an AI can measure and decide when that part needed to be replaced by giving an exact date to the inspectors. It was a great first hackathon, and we learned so much about full-stack development and AI prompting.
